The Kali Tibba Resort is a gem, with the staff being incredibly helpful and responsive, making every moment feel effortless and welcoming. The location is nice, offering breathtaking views and a serene, peaceful atmosphere. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall experience. The only downside is the access, which can be a bit tricky for the elderly.
Perched at around 7,500 feet, this hilltop temple dedicated to Goddess Kali was built in the early 1900s by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. It offers sweeping views of the Shivalik range and is a favourite spot for both pilgrims and sunrise and sunset views — just a short trek or drive from the resort.
Spread across roughly 110 square kilometres of oak and pine forest, this sanctuary is home to Himalayan black bear, goral, sambar, spotted deer and a rich variety of birdlife. Forest trails make it a popular spot for trekking, birdwatching and wildlife photography.
Built in 1893 by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh, this is recognised as the highest cricket ground in the world at around 2,444 metres above sea level. Surrounded by dense cedar forest, it's one of Chail's most photographed landmarks, now maintained by the Chail Military School.
A peaceful riverside spot on the Ashwini river between Chail and Solan, Sadhupul is known for its little bridge, riverside cafes, and relaxed picnic atmosphere — a nice half-day trip from the resort.
